Historic monthly surface air temperature grids can be produced for 1900-2012 for any global land area. Here we demonstrate this by downscaling mean temperature for June 1986 to 30-arcseconds for Oregon, USA.  The star on the map shows Corvallis, OR, the location of Oregon State University, where the Global Climate Data group is based.

The downscaled grid is produced using the willmott & Matsuura and WorldClim datasets as inputs to the GlobalClimateData downscaling package.
